ABOUT ME

  • LinkedIn

My love of environmental work started at a young age. As a child, I grew up photographing nature and exploring unique ecosystems. My photography captures my love of nature and my passion for untangling humanity's connections with it.

I was motivated by my passion for the outdoors to study ecology and sustainability during my undergraduate degree. As a graduate student at the University of Colorado Boulder in the Masters of the Environment program, I specialized in urban resilience and sustainability. There, I learned vital skills to support communities in adapting to the negative impacts of climate change. I am particularly interested in extreme heat, severe storms and flooding, and ecological deterioration. My work is centered around my belief in crafting systems and spaces where nature and people can thrive.

My projects incorporate climate adaptation, GIS, landscape design, qualitative research, and socio-ecological resilience planning work.

I have completed research in the following locations and subfields:

  • Equitable access to nature, ecological health and connectivity, and climate resilience - Denver, Colorado

  • Air quality and environmental justice - Commerce City, Colorado

  • Coastal resilience and marine health - Nosy Komba, Madagascar

  • Wildlife corridor planning - Burlington, Vermont

  • Hiking trail mapping and historical environmental relationships  - Iceland

  • Environmental restoration - Botswana & Andasibe, Madagascar
